This is the Moriches Bay Project’s biggest fundraising effort of the entire year and by becoming an official event sponsor, you played an essential role in helping us to achieve our mission to clean Moriches Bay, one oyster at a time.

Last year, with the generous support of local businesses and sponsors, MBP made many important accomplishments. Specifically, MBP put more than 400,000 oysters in the bay, which filtered 21.5 million gallons of water every day. In addition, 265 pounds of nitrogen were removed from the bay. An unprecedented 4,147 people were engaged in helping to improve water quality in the bay through participation in various community events and workshops. MBP also planted roughly 5,000 shoots of eelgrass and hosted numerous workshops and educational programs. MBP is grateful to all our friends in the community and is proud of what we have accomplished together in 2016.
