Joseph Nappi, a senior enrolled in the William Floyd High School Career and Technical Education Medical Assisting program, has received a $1,500 “Medical Staff Scholarship Award” from Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center (BMHMC) to be used toward his future studies in medicine. Joseph was selected based on academic excellence, commitment, character, achievement and because of his chosen course of study. He is one of only 13 students from Suffolk County school districts selected to receive this award. Joseph will be attending Alfred University in the fall and will pursue a degree in nursing. He is also a member of the high school robotics team and a patrol leader in the Boy Scouts.
