Kenneth F. Nolan, age 87, passed away on March 22, 2017 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, Florida. Kenneth served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and was retired from United Airlines where he was employed as a station manager. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 273, Riverhead, Past Governor of the Moose Lodge, Riverhead, Life Member of VFW Post 2476, Riverhead, and a member of the Mastic Beach Yacht Club. Kenneth enjoyed shooting darts and was a fan of the Mets, the Jets, and Notre Dame football. Surviving Kenneth are his children; Kevin (Yvonne) Nolan of Holtsville, Kenneth Nolan of North Carolina, Karen Nolan of Tennessee, Kris Nolan of New Hampshire, Gary Nolan of Cutchogue, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and close companion; Geraldine Moylan. Family and friends gathered for visitation at Davin’s Funeral Home, Mastic. Wake prayers were offered by Msgr. John Heinlein of St. Jude’s R C Church, Mastic Beach. Interment followed, with Full Military Honors, at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton.

Salvatore P. DiStefano, age 75, passed away on March 24, at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Patchogue. Born in Queens, NY and a resident of Mastic for forty-two years, Sal enjoyed fishing and cooking. He could be a real “homebody” and loved doing electrical work. Sal is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-two years; Margaret, loving children; Salvatore (Lisa) DiStefano of Minnesota, Mary Jean (Peter) Maginn of Shirley, cherished grandchildren; Ashley, Stephanie, Samantha, loving sister; Phyllis (Phil) Calamia, and faithful canine companions; Sophie and Lola. Family and friends gathered for visitation at Davin’s Funeral Home, Mastic. Wake prayers were offered by Msgr. John Heinlein of St. Jude’s RC Church, Mastic Beach. Private cremation was held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches.

Karen O’Brien, age 70, passed away suddenly on April 7, 2017 at her Mastic Beach residence. Born in Brooklyn, NY and a resident of Mastic Beach for twenty years, Karen enjoyed watching television, cooking, and at one time was an avid doll collector. She was a very generous lady who loved helping others and was very devoted to her son; James. Karen is survived by her children; James O’Brien, Heather Laurel (Shaugn O’Donnell), Christine (Ronnie) Murphy, Robert (Colleen) O’Brien, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters; Dawn (Robert) Acquaviva-Roth, Lynn DeVita, and feline companions; Waddles and Hattie.Family and friends gathered for visitation at Davin’s Funeral Home, Mastic. Private cremation was held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches. Inurnment to follow at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton.

Salvatore Cataldo, 79, of Shirley, Long Island, NY passed on Friday, March 10, 2017 and born in Capaci, Sicily to Domenico and Margherita Cataldo. He was a loving father who is survived by his son, Juan Carlos Cataldo Chaviel of Venezuela and daughter Margharita Cataldo Russell of Long Island, NY. Salvatore was a proud grandfather of Matthew Salvatore Russell. He is also survived by his wife, Janet Cataldo, and siblings, Josephina Cataldo, Francesca Cataldo and Giuseppe Cataldo, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Roma Funeral Home in Shirley.

MARIE ANN UBALDO, 56, of Mastic, died peacefully surrounded by her beloved husband on April 13, 2017 at the Affinity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Marie was born in the Bronx and was a food manager at Tangier Smith Elementary in the William Floyd School District. She enjoyed cooking, interior design, gardening, was an avid reader, enjoyed all genre of music and was an animal lover especially of cats. She will be sorely missed by her feline companions TC and Gabby. Marie is survived by her devoted husband Robert to whom she has shared her heart for the past thirty-three years. She is also survived by her beloved father, George Sullivan and her three siblings, Diane, George and John. Family and friends were welcomed at Roma Funeral Home on Monday. A Mass was offered at St. Jude’s RC Church in Mastic Beach on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Interment took place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Center Moriches.
