Schneider and Matthew R. Towle.  This marks the 98th and 99th Eagle Scout for the troop, which is sponsored by the Center Moriches VFW.

Both boys have been involved in scouting for over ten years and have completed numerous merit badges and ranks.

As part of the process to obtain Scouting’s highest rank, both boys were required to complete an Eagle project.  Mr. Schneider constructed a podium that will be used at William Floyd High School and Mr. Towle constructed six flower boxes for the Brookhaven Ecology site.

Following the presentation of the Eagle Award, numerous elected officials and community leaders joined in honoring the boys for their outstanding achievement.
