WFHS Students Finish 7th of 33 Teams in Automotive Tech Competition

WFHS Auto competitionThe William Floyd High School Automotive Technology team of Frank Reichard and Ryan Zacher, under the guidance of instructor Daniel Rupracht, recently placed seventh out of 33 of the best student teams in the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) National Automotive Technology Competition New York City Regional held at the Whitestone Automotive Training Center. Frank and Ryan, the first William Floyd students to participate in this competition, qualified due to a third-place finish at the Long Island Regional competition in January. For their efforts at Whitestone, the students earned $3,000 in additional scholarships to various technical schools, tools and other prizes.
