New Assistant Principal Appointed at Charles E. Walters Elementary School

Brian FosterAfter serving as a K-12 ESL teacher for the past 15 years at Huntington School District, Brian Foster has been named the new assistant principal at Charles E. Walters Elementary School.
A bilingual educator committed to educational excellence, Mr. Foster believes in a differentiated learning community based on the learning styles, abilities, and interests of students. In addition to serving on Huntington School District’s Shared Decision Making Committee to enhance parental involvement, he served as the translator for teachers, administrators and parents to establish effective communication.
Mr. Foster earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Linguistics from Stony Brook University and Masters in Spanish Education from Queens College. He received his Advanced Certificate in School Building Leadership and Advanced Certificate in School District Leadership from Stony Brook University.
“I am honored to have been chosen to be the new assistant principal of Charles E. Walters Elementary School,” said Mr. Foster. “The warm welcome I have received has exceeded my expectations and furthered my conclusion that Charles E. Walters is the perfect fit for me. I look forward to serving in this new capacity and continuing to support our dedicated staff, our great students and parents, and to put down roots in this wonderful community.
