William Floyd High School Girls Basketball Raises $1,100 for American Cancer Society

The William Floyd High School girls varsity and junior varsity basketball teams recently raised $1,126 for the American Cancer Society in the “Coaches vs. Cancer Score for a Cure” fundraiser. For this fundraising effort, the student-athletes held a shoot-a-thon, a bake sale and sold t-shirts. The money will be donated to the Suffolk County Girls Basketball Coaches Association, which will pool it with other schools and make a larger donation to support cancer research. Head coach Rich Sinclair would like to express his thanks to the parents, families, friends and community who helped and donated to such a great cause.WFSD girls basketball
