NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the MEDFORD FIRE DISTRICT, Town of Brookhaven, County of Suffolk, State of New York, on the 12th day of January, 2017; subject to permissive referendum as provided for by the General Municipal Law Section 6 (G).

An extract of the resolution is as follows:
By resolution dated the 12th of January, 2017, the Medford Fire District has approved a resolution subject to permissive referendum to withdraw up to $ 8,000.00 from its Capitol Land Improvement Reserve Fund to be put towards the Carbon Monoxide Detector installation at Station 1 and Station 2, as per NYS and TOB code. Petitions for a referendum must be submitted to the secretary of the Medford Fire District no later than thirty days after the date of publication of this notice.

This resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days unless, in the meanwhile, a permissive referendum as provided by the General Municipal Law is required to be held.
