William Floyd Students Participate in Worldwide Hour of Code

WFHS Hour of CodeWFMS Hour of CodeStudents at William Floyd Middle School and William Floyd High School, along with millions of others from more than 180 countries around the world, participated in an “Hour of Code,” which is designed to help demystify coding and demonstrate that learning the basics is easy, as well as encourage and broaden participation in the field of computer science. It was held during the week of December 5-11 to coincide with Computer Science Education Week. Special thanks to William Floyd High School mathematics teacher Nina Lurie and William Floyd Middle School librarian Julia Hannibal for hosting these events and helping to inspire the next generation of computer scientists.
