Supervisor Romaine and Councilman Panico Congratulate Center Moriches Eagle Scout Alex Hermsdorf

15578634_10154419659689272_5912434923963864356_n[2]Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Dan Panico attended the Eagle Court of Honor ceremony for Center Moriches resident Alex Hermsdorf. The event was held at the VFW Hall on Main Street in Center Moriches. Alex, a sophomore at Center Moriches High School, is a member of Troop 414 and has been active in scouting since his days as a Webelo. Throughout his scouting career, Alex has served as an Assistant Patrol Leader, Librarian and Troop Guide and has earned 34 Merit Badges. To earn the most prestigious honor of Eagle Scout, Alex refurbished the Junior Varsity and Varsity baseball bleachers at Center Moriches High School. In addition to scouting, Alex plays lacrosse and volleyball and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society
