Proposals will be received at the office of the Board of Fire Commissioners at

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Suffolk County Legislature has passed Introductory Resolution No. 1180-2016 “A Local Law to Prohibit the Sale of Kratom in Suffolk County” which law prohibits the sale, offer for sale, or distribution of Kratom to any person under the age of 21 in Suffolk County. Violations of this law are punishable as an unclassified misdemeanor subject to a fine of up to $1,000 and/or up to one year’s imprisonment.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the County Executive will hold a public hearing on the aforesaid Local Law at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, on December 19, 2016 in Media Room 182, in the H. Lee Dennison Building, 100 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, New York 11788 at which time all interested persons will be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Suffolk County Legislature has passed Introductory Resolution No. 1969-2016 “A Local Law to Updated and Strengthen Suffolk County’s All-Terrain Vehicle Law” which law authorizes the County Attorney to institute a proceeding seeking forfeiture of an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) after its second illegal use within a five year period and requires that a forfeited ATV be destroyed if it is not transferred to a county department agency or another political subdivision that demonstrates a public safety need for the ATV.
