Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau Re-Branding Event at Patchogue TheatreSupervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Neil Foley joined local business leaders and elected officials at the Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission (LICVB&SC) annual meeting held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. During the event, LICVB&SC President and CEO Kristen Jamagin introduced the bureau’s new branding campaign, “Discover Long Island” and their redesigned website. They also presented a “Taste of Patchogue” reception in the theatre lobby featuring food from many local restaurants. Pictured left to right are Councilman Foley, Legislator Wayne Horsley, Legislator Rob Calarco, Legislator Bill Lindsay, Supervisor Romaine, Assemblyman Dean Murray, State Senator Tom Croci and Patchogue Village Mayor Paul Pontieri.
Supervisor Romaine said, “Brookhaven Town has it all; beaches, parks, museums, hotels, entertainment and more, making it a very popular tourist destination. The bureau’s new marketing campaign will certainly have an impact all across Long Island, and that means more jobs and a boost to our local economy.”
Councilman Foley said, “Fire Island, which is in my Council District, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state. This new campaign will drive more people to experience what we all know are the best beaches in the world. It will also have a positive effect on the mainland businesses of south shore.”
