This weeks Community Member Spotlight, some say represents a higher power.
Martin Hawley, who is a Pastor at South Bay Bible Church represents the community to help others. Martin’s mission is into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and lead them to find answers to life’s questions within the bible.
Martin’s inspiration to become a pastor was at the age of Five, when he told his Grandmother he wanted to be a preacher because of his love for god.
Martin’s Grandfather was a Preacher in Michigan and many of Martin’s family are involved, Including his Wife and children within the church at South Bay Bible Church. A family that prays together, Stays together.
Martin first became a pastor at the Nazarene Church in Fort Myers Florida back in 1998. Martin stated from the time he began being a pastor catastrophe seemed to be a pattern and says the Devil can not follow for ever and felt this was a test.
In 2006, he joined South Bay Bible Church and started being a Pastor at South Bay Bible Church in 2012. South Bay Bible Church host many events for the community at no cost. South Bay Bible church hosted by Pastor Martin Hawley hold community movie nights which are open to everyone, Pastor Hawley and South Bay Bible Church this past summer hosted a Anti Drug Crusade with Former New York Mets outfielder, Darryl Strawberry. At this event that was held on the Fields at East Moriches Middle School Darryl Strawberry spoke about this issues he face while taking drugs. They also hold their annual Easter Egg hunt that is open to all community members.

Besides being the Pastor at South Bay Bible Church, Pastor Martin Hawley is also involved in the Business to Business, Is the President of the Rotary at Seatuck Cove and a member of the Moriches Chamber of Commerce.
