Councilman LaValle Announces “Run the Farm 4 Mile Challenge” Raises Over $6,000 for Bethel Hobbs Farm in Centereach

Run The Farm (1)smThe 2nd Annual “Run the Farm 4 Mile Challenge” was held in Centereach. Brookhaven Town Councilman Kevin LaValle and Suffolk County Legislator Tom Muratore (center) co-sponsored the event that started at Oxhead Elementary School and finished at the 11-acre Bethel Hobbs Farm. Over 200 runners participated and more than $6,000 was raised. All proceeds from the race benefit the farm to help provide fresh wholesome produce to those in need. The farm is also an educational place for local businesses, schools and other organizations to volunteer and to improve the quality of life in our community.
