Vivian Viloria Fisher
Dear Ms. Fisher:
As a Brookhaven taxpayer, I read with interest the news that you are being considered by the Democrats to run for town supervisor. Before we can take your candidacy seriously, I’d like to ask you to clear up any association with Councilman Steve Fiore-Rosenfeld and the investigation into the possible use of town employees to collect nominating petitions. According to Newsday, the district attorney has opened up an investigation into allegations that Councilman Rosenfeld asked town employees to circulate petitions in exchange for bonuses. In fact, several people have been fired over this, Newsday reported. Since you ran on the same Democratic ticket with Councilman Rosenfeld, it is imperative that you disclose whether or not any of these employees also circulated your petitions. Your direct attention to clearing up this very serious matter would be most appreciated by me and, I’m sure, the voters of our town.
